What's the youngest your rooster has crowed?

Arlo hasn't crowed yet & he's about 3 or so months old. He peeps a lot. His voice is getting deeper & sounds like a cross between a donkey & a bullfrog

BLIMEY!!! :O

I'm shocked at how old a chick can start crowing. Just a few days for some???

I have yet to see it in my flock, most of them start crowing after a couple of months of so (though I've never really payed attention to when).

That's just incredible...

My roosters didn't start to crow until they were 2-3 months old. I have a rooster now that is about 5-6 weeks old, and he hasn't even tried to crow.

I'm reusing this thread as it pertains to this partiular little rooster...We've renamed him from Indigo to "BIG DADDY" He is now 7 weeks old and I witnessed him mating. This can't be normal can it? The pullet he selected is a 6 week old Barred Rock, and she actually submitted to him. No noise making or anything, he just walked over to her as she was laying in the grass and did it, she didn't protest. This is crazy, is there anything I should do or let nature run it's course?

10 day old white leghorn. It sounded like the brakes squealing on a Yugo

Two of my "mystery" roos started crowing at 2 weeks and the others about a week later. The funny thing is my older chicks were 6 weeks at the time and hadn't even started crowing yet.

Here are my "mystery" roos at 8 weeks--#1 and #4 were the early bloomers.
