Anybody know what this small glob is by the yolk?
Laid by a Barred Rock about 2 1/2 years old, who I got when she was about five months old and who has not since been around a rooster. She's been feeling low from worms--got pretty skinny and was starting to lose feathers (but not at the same time that she molted last year). She's been successfully treated now, I think, though she still has an occasionally watery poo (and by watery, I mean, like water, pretty clear). I am tossing her eggs right now because she had treatment with Valbazen. I've heard of roundworms getting into eggs, but this doesn't seem to be a worm. She laid another today that had a darker spot in it. These eggs with globs were broken open the same day they were laid, and she wasn't setting on them. Any theories? Should I be concerned?
