Whats up with these ear feathers?

Just a barnyard mix out of an olive egg a friend from church gave me, I asked her and she said none of her chickens have crazy ear feathers like this lol. It's only on one side of his head. His name is Chief Crazy Hair. Thoughts?????

It looks like he might have some Araucana in him. The tufts can appear only on one side.

Thanks everyone! Yall kinda confirmed my suspicions, but I wasn't aware they could have "crazy hair" on just one side so I had a lot of doubt in the back of my mind lol. It reminds me of when my mom used to put my ponytail off to one side back in the 80s . I think Chief Crazy Hair is going to be the rooster we keep!
