We let the chickens out of their coop after Joe was let loose outside. The two Silkies (Blackie and Boggart) took off running with Joe running after ... hehe ... He really likes those two pullets
As for the other chickens, we have a mixture of banties with a few standard pullets thrown in. They're all around 6-8 weeks old and have been together since they were bitty chicks at TSC. We added a couple of Hamburgs last week. We've got one mostly white pullet that seems to "the boss" most of the time. She's the one who's always picking on the others or chasing them around. Today it seemed like everyone was trying for dominance - even these two teeny Japanese banties. It was so funny to see them puff up their feathers and butt their chests
They've never done this before so I found it quite entertaining. But what's the deal?
