Ok two eggs i broke open this morning (not a meat spot) had blood red swirls in the yolk and when i broke said yolk the inside ozed out red like it was bleeding...? I know my hens are young layers and i expected meat spots and other weird things and i am fine with that but this is a whole new level.

Blood Spots. Occasionally found on an egg yolk. These tiny spots do not indicate a fertilized egg. Instead, they are caused by the rupture of a blood vessel on the yolk surface during formation of the egg or by a similar accident in the wall of the oviduct.

I found that in google, hope it helps determine what you find in your egg. Best of Luck

Its not a blood/meat spot one yolk looked completely normal but when i broke the yolk it red colored (i assume yolk) came out it look almost if not blood red.

I've had a couple bloody eggs like that.....just another glitch, but it'll make you open eggs in a separate container for quite a while.

If it happens again take a pic.

I will lol i was ok with the first because i had just cracked it by itself so it was fine the second i wasnt as lucky it was with five others i cracked

so i wasted eggs and threw it out. I cracked some brown eggs this morning and checked first and they were normal thank God for that.

5 bloody eggs from the same bird would indicate more than a glitch...she may have some kind of malformation and need to be culled.

Lol bo the other five were fine sadly i cracked them all in the same bowl and the bloody one forced me to throw out i cant get past the gross factor safe or not to eat it.

So far its only been to with the bloody yolks and two with meat spots but those could have been from the other deleware their eggs are exactly the same color but since the bigger hen started to lay its the only time i gotten them so i assume they were hers. She just started laying two weeks ago i believe. And if its just hers then i just make sure not to give hers away we attached to that hen she my husbands baby so i cant cull her.
