Whats wrong with my duck's eye?

Hello all,

Recently I've noticed that my KC hen closing her left eye frequently. The first time I observed her doing this was a few days ago, after that she didn't do it anymore so we thought that there must have just been something in her eye. Now she's doing it again today, so I'd like to know if anyone can explain to me whats wrong? With closer inspection, there is no residue or blood on the eye, and it looks very much like her right eye, which has no problem. Any help is appreciated.

She may have had something in it that left the eye irritated. Do they have access to swimming water or at least water she can wash her face in?

Rinsing it a few times a day with a mild saline solution probably would help. Just a nice gentle mist with a spritzer, or perhaps a few drops from an eye dropper.

I do give her a pool but I still got a little spray bottle in case. But ever since I got the bottle ready her eye is OK again lol. But thanks for your advice, I'll have my spray ready if any of my ducks have stuff in their eye.
