What's wrong with their feathers?

Well lets us all send happy travel thoughts to all our birds in route. I have 4 on the way. Think mine are in Dallas right now, hoping to get them tomorrow. I am stuck at work all day so won't see them until late. Bad storms here right now and tomorrow. Of course the usps tracking has not updated since yesterday afternoon...

Kelly you have some really cool projects for sure now! How are your tolbunts doing? I don't know that mine is EVER going to lay. The roo is busy doing his job but she just is not squatting and not laying. Every couple weeks I think she is making some sign...but nothing! Polish take forever.

My Tolbunt hen laid me 6 eggs over a 2 week period and then stopped again. I swear that is the laziest bird I have ever owned! I stuck all of them in the incubator about 3 days ago, so we'll see. I don't have great hopes for them - the stupid rooster is pretty lazy too.

Got the call from the PO this morning, right as I was leaving for work, so ran and got them, stuffed them in their new pen, and ran to work - made it only 5 minutes late.

Anyways, they're all safe, healthy, and gorgeous!!! Pics later when I get home!

Congrats everyone on your chickens arriving!

I tried to sneak a peek in an egg today, and discovered my candler cannot see into these eggs at all!

The colored eggs are definitely more difficult but once they're a little further along and if your light is bright enough you should be able to tell what's going on.

Congrats y'all on getting your chickens!!

I know a guy here that has a white crested black polish. It took forever to start laying, and when it did it laid THREE eggs in one day! I thought he was lying! Or that someone was playing a joke on him, but it's true. She is the only white layer he has, and they don't look like store eggs.
