Kathyinmo was the first to hatch any of Jubaby's eggs - and that was end of Jan 2010. (page 10)
Jubaby started the thread in 2008 (and they were not fully mature then either), but you might have missed where she was unable to get her fist pair to mate, with the male being too aggressive and causing her female to stop laying altogether. She had to wait for his son(from the first mating, plus his sisters) to mature before she was able to send out any eggs (which was Jan 2010.)
From there - I'd wager about 90% of the eggs sent didn't hatch - I think there's possibly somewhere around 15 birds max right now around the country - any none of them (outside of Jubaby's) are laying / mating yet.
I know it's a lot of posts to dig though, but every step has been well documented. Not to mention these birds are EXTREMELY slow to feather/develop.
All of us want to be able to share these with everyone else, it's just taking so long!!
