40 something eggs went to lockdown in a HovaBator (the one with the two smallish windows). I have no idea what the count is, I'm trying not to shine a flashlight in there and awaken the chaos monsters! Some of the eggs were still in the pipping/zipping stages when I looked this morning- I think the plan is to wait for them and open it on Tuesday (day 23).
BUT - I do have some other, pretty amazing news to share! The F1 birds mated to our Fluffy Male are LAYING!!!!
Those will be going into the incubator by this coming Monday 3/21!!!
I just read this whole thread from the start and now I can finally go to bed on a happy note. The future of silkied amerucanas is looking brighter! Congratulations!
