those speckles look like cracked pepper, have u been feeding her any cracked black peppercorns, you do know chickens cannot digest black peppercorns neither can humans says the oldtimers! I do not know. hope you find out

Not sure which hen laid it. And nope, no peppercorns for the ladies. Maybe this is what the rooster laid? Haha, I have no idea.

That seriously looks like ground coffee. It won't explain the ruddy egg appearance but maybe your hen got jacked up on coffee and then it messed up her laying today

I would think it was something she ate. Some people put coffee grounds around their plants, does she freerange where she could have got a cafe snack ?

I think it was one of those eggs she was ashamed to lay in the nest box!
