What's wrong with this goose??

Time of year they are getting ready to make their move to winter grazing most likely that gets every one agitated.. Or do these geese stay year round there?
They were just different families I've never seen before at this lake and the 2 families were trying to fight each other because the one goose''s mate has another mate it's pretty confusing.. and on all the maps I seen it says that they are year round here.

No telling but hey my ducks have squabbles here too and my gander and drake are always getting into it. So hard to say goose dynamics is very interesting.

It is a time a year when geese migrate, so different flocks will most likely appear "rest awhile" then continue their journey to the south... Dominance quarrels of a "I was here first" nature will undoubtedly take place... Especially if it is not a large pond and there are permanent residents.

This lake I go to every day, I didn't come today until now and seen one of the geese with, looks like half his face is missing! Trying to figure out what could of happened!

Aggressive overbreeding? Canadians split up into twos when breeding season comes.

Turtle in lake? Geese put heads under water a lot to rinse nose.
Car?
Gander fight
Good chance owl may have took on more weight than he thought?
Some people are cruel and may have thrown something on him to get him to leave. I can’t tell but it looks like some type of burn. I have seen both hot water and gas used.

They are protected so I know in my area wildlife officers will come get them and find rehabilitation
