I just went out to check on Daisy and sadly she didn't make it. This all happened so quick that I have to believe that whatever I did was the best I could do for her and there was something more serious going on with her. She was happy and free ranging with her sisters 2 days ago :-( Thank you all for the advice and well wishes!

I am so sorry Daisy didn't make it. If only they could talk to us. I agree you did all you could for her.

I’m sorry to hear this sad news. It doesn’t sound like there would have been anything you could do. I’d recommend finding someone to preform a necropsy on her to give you peace of mind of knowing what was wrong. They also test for communicable diseases so you can know if there is a threat to your flock. I was able to get one done at a vet school for $40. Just google “avian necropsy” and your zip code to find someone who will do it. In the meantime refrigerate, don’t freeze, her body. I’m very sorry for your loss. It’s never easy losing them.

Hi i am so sorry, Daisy has passed. But remember the good times you had with
her. You tried your best, at least she is not suffering anymore. It is us, who suffer
more, after we lose them. My thoughts are with you.
