And..the cold in Fl. is COLD..born and raised in No.Fl. Freezing temps there seems much colder than freezing here in Ky..in our forecast..SNOW!!

Not to be mean, but my hubby and I had a chuckle about the folks in Florida and texas having a "hard freeze" - we looked at each other and burst out laughing!
Our high today was 6, with windchill of -18. That was the HIGH!

The coldest temps I've ever been in was in Breckenridge, Colorado, way up on a mountain. My dad's friend Bob & his family lived there. When we left it was -13 F but it felt more like 30 F to me as it was a dry cold.

Hottest was 119 F in Parker, Arizona. I couldn't understand why everyone with us immediately began applying sun screen upon exiting the vehicle. Felt like 95 F to me.

I'm way down south of just about all of you & we have very humid air. Our colds are very cold when the humidity is up, it just doesn't happen to get cold here for very long.

I actually love the cold, but I'm sure I would feel otherwise if I had to suffer through long, cold, snowy winters.

Downright balmy here in MI... overnight temps above 10* all week. Daytime temps around 20* Maybe even 30*.
C'ept for the snow. Close to the lake I get snowed on all winter.
