What's Your Chickens names and Why are they named that?

We only have 3 named.

Sampson a black-sex link rooster. He is my top male-- and rules the flock. He has a nice big comb, and long wattles. He doesn't have a very good voice- gets about half way through his call but makes up for it by being top roo. He tends to stick around with Miss Red 1,2,3,4,5 and 6(red-sex links).

Bonzo- another black-sex link rooster. He'll either be found "sharing" sampsons girls with him, or heads down with the silkies and simply hang out. He is the best crower but is pretty much on the bottom of the list. Silkies have their place, Sampson has his place..and he just hangs out between the two groups.

Delilah- a black sex link hen. She went missing from the barn (at night) about 3 weeks ago. She was the best hen we had- Would come home to roost and would always be in the same roosting spot. Hung out with both groups--normally wherever bonzo was. I did spot her a week ago. I went into the barn quick to check on something and heard "bock bock" behind me, turned around and she was at my feet waiting for some corn. I ran up to the house, came back to the barn and she was gone. Haven't seen her since...so I've seen her 1 time in the 3 weeks she's been gone--but its good to know she's ok.

we have six, two White RI, 'Sunflower' and 'Star', mostly named because of their color when they were babies, they were also the last two that got named. An araucana (sp?) named 'Sparrow', because she looked like a little sparrow when she was a chick. A partridge PR that is named 'Rosie', because my girls have a good friend who LOVES chickens named Rosie, so they named this one after her. Unfortunately it seems to be that Rosie is a roo. So we will likely have to re-home 'her'. And our two barred PR's were named by my very punny husband - 'Bach', and 'Chick-ow-ski'.

I have 5 chickens at the moment, all girls from 22 weeks to 28 weeks in age.

Monica - 28 week old Dark Brahma named after Monica Geller on FRIENDS (favorite show ever) and the chicken really fits her namesake LOL
Joon - 25 week old Barred Rock named after the movie Benny and Joon with Johnny Depp and Mary Stuart Masterson. GREAT movie!
Munk - 25 week old Easter Egger named Munk because when she was little she looked like a chipmunk, especially with her puffy cheeks. She is my avatar.
Butternut - 22 week old Splash Wyandotte named after a movie called Half Baked. Another totally good funny movie, and there is a police horse that dies of a diabetic coma named Buttercup and the "horse cop killer" is crying with the owner yelling "BUTTERNUT!" instead of buttercup. You have to see the movie for this to make sense LMAO but it is funny...

my 11 chickens aren't named yet except for one. NOSEY.. she's got to be everywhere I am and checking to see if I'm doing everything right...
I have 3 adult peacocks named Pablo, Phillippe, Penelope and a baby one we hatched named Picaso (Cuz he's a work of Art)
the other three Pable, Phillippe and Penelope got their names cuz it went well with Peacock. hence.. Pablo Peacock, Phillippe Peacock and Penelope Peacock.
Pablo and Picaso came first to our new adventure. Then the pair- Phillippe and Penelope. Since we have also added 7 other little ones who don't have names yet. since I don't know whether they are male or females.

Thinking of the names Petunia, Perpetua, Patricia and Patience for girls and Patrick, Peter and Paul for males..

Looking for any other suggestions you might have for my P line.. I suppose soon I'm going to have to change alphabet letters but for now they all get P's.

Sorry but I can't resist this post. Especially since my husband think I'm a nut & confirmed it when we went to the chicken swap and the first thing out of his mouth to a fellow swaper was "do they all have names?"

We have 7 and six currently have names - need to work on the 7th

Roo - AKA Mr. Roopy Pants - Splash Orp roo. - Umm for the obvious reason of him being a rooster.
Bing - Barred Rock hen - my mom named her after Bing Crosby - We thought she was a he for a while
Halo - Buff Orp - Named by my daughter after a horse she likes to ride
Bella - Splash Pullet - cuz she's so purtty
Sweetie - Speckled Sussex pullet - Again name by my daughter after a horse - but she really is a sweet chicken
Lovey - Light Brahma Hen - Named by her previous owners I am assuming after her nature - she looooves to cuddle

Ruby - I just like that name

She's a Bantam Buff Brahma.
Leroy Jethro Gibbs - EE roo...favorite character on NCIS.
Hedwig, Luna - EEs. Both names from Harry Potter.
Kyle - EE named after my cousin because they have the same IQ level.

Blade - After watching those movies...I love this name. EE
Bambi - EE. Love this name too. Cute movie

All my BRs have pretty random, cute little names: Moosi, Dorra, Me-Key, Shadow, Paula, Russell, Crooked Beak, Jet, Meera, and Vaca'. Vaca is named because that is the Spanish word for cow. And I felt like naming a chicken cow....because that is just amusing to me.
I have four others, two BRs, Gizmo and Goku, and 1 ??? named Gohan, and 1 silkie who's name is being debated.

Rusty - Silkie mix "spash"rooster. Named him for the red "rust" spots on his wings
Henna - RIR hen, after henna the plant that creates red dye(or something like that)
Violet - Very feminen looking Black Sexlink mix bantam. Thought Violet was a very feminen name
Spicy - RIR bantam mix hen. She used to be very vocal when she was held. She SCREAMED the first time I held her, so I named her Spicy, because she used to have attitued. Now she is one of my most docile chickens
Peach - White Plymouth Rock hen, daughter named her
Daffodil - Yellow/orange EE, daughter named her
Venus - Blue Andalusian hen. Very beautiful bird needed a beautiful name. (she's my avatar)
Blondie - EE hen with the blondest puffy cheeks. They were almost bigger than her face when she was a chick

Pickels - Pekin duck that thinks she is a chicken. Just because I have always wanted to name a pet Pickles
