And shila, she is a foster from the shelter, she is a boxer/grey hound mix. And if she didn'y hate my cats I'd adopt her.

That's nice that you're a foster home. How do you like it? Have thought of doing that, but figured no one would ever adopt the dog or if they did, it would be after I'd formed a permanent bond. Curious to hear the upsides and downsides.

Fabulous pups! We had a pitt that we fostered, fell in love with and adopted some years ago ( we named him Apache). We had him 5 years when he was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of bone cancer. It broke my husband's heart (and mine) when we had to have him put down after the cancer didn't respond to treatment. He has a lovely resting place under our big oak tree now. Dogs are family and we have a particular fondness for pitts as a breed! Yours are absolutely beautiful! Home Slice's eyes remind me of Apache.

Im sorry you lost him. The dogs are our children, and when my oldest goes my boyfriend will never be the same! Coupe is Seans (my boyfriend) best friend. They dont leave eachothers sides, they go everywhere together. They are great dogs. Very loyal and loving. My mother raised Show Dobermans when i was younger, and i always thought i would always have a dobie. But when moved out, Sean and I went to NC for a month and found Coupe forsale at a flee market. He was only 5 weeks old and the cutest **** thing!

Do you have any pics of Apache? I would love to see some if you do.

Ooohmigosh! How precious!

I think we still have a picture or two of Apache. We had a house fire right after he passed and so we lost a lot of our pictures. I know I still have a puppy picture of him. I keep it on our fridge. It was smoke damaged so I laminated it so it doesn't smell. We sometimes still talk about him like he's still here. He was Kevin's best friend! I'll try to scan it soon. Gosh we miss him! I don't know what I'd do if anything happened to our Bella........

Would you believe that my myspace page that hasn't been logged into in 5 years or so is still active and has a couple of pictures of him?!? I was shocked! I'm adding them now.........
