Just made beef stew this week....boiled up a bag of beef bones that came with the half cow we bought this past fall .The day before I made the stew I put carrots,celery,garlic,onions in with bones and covered with water and let them slow cook all day and then put the broth in fridge over night so the fat would harden and be easy to remove and then used that broth to make the stew....tastes great !!
