What's your favorite dog breed?

Well, I put mutts because I would never buy a purebred dog - too many in need of homes already. BUT, we do have a rescued pure bred Shiba-Inu and a purebred husky. We also have a Chow/golden mix and a Shiba-inu/doberman mix

Well, I was raised by a Newfoundland, and she was definitely the best protector/lover out there! I was only ever in danger of toppling over, but she was so sweet and gentle, and she died of completely natural causes just a week shy of 13 years. When I have children I will be getting a Newfoundland, no doubt. But other than that, I love dalmatians and pitbulls and pitbull mixes, it's impossible to just pick one breed!

Having grown up with herding dogs from the super intense border collies, to the tough little heelers and quite a few combos thereof I have to say..... drum roll please..... aussie shepherd!!!

I absolutely LOVE American Staffordshire Bull Terriers

They are awesome looking and the couple i have met are extremely friendly.
I also love mutts!

My absolute favorite is the Aussie, which I have been raising for about 16 years now. I am down to one now, but she is the perfect one (Evie). I also adore Border collies. I actually have two pit bulls ( a male-Waylon and a female- Lacey) and a rottie( Butch) right now. My fiance loves those breeds, so I got him the female pit bull after we moved to our farm. I like the medium sized breeds, but would love to have another mini pin (Sally RIP 2009) That is the only small breed I like. I also like Scottich Terriers. Well, heck, I could go on and on- Bloodhounds, Bassets, Beagles Anything you would find working on a farm.

I love my Australian Kelpies and my German Coolie. They handle the somewhat solitary life I live, but don't 'freak out' when I have a rare visitor. I do love my Border Collie, but Heaven forbid someone she doesn't know comes to visit. (she's noise phobic, too *sigh*)
My 'bestest' dog right now is my Border Collie/Kelpie cross, Coulter, he is rather intense, though. But, I love him.
