What's your favorite horse breed(s), and why? 😁

[Blue Andalusian]

Mine: Icelandic horses, because they're gaited, are super strong, sturdy, and good for inexperienced riders. And they're BEAUTIFUL!
Also, Norwegian Fjords: because they're cool looking, sturdy + powerful, good with kids, can be used for lots of different things.

i on't know i i have a 2n avorite horse bree. But, my avorite is the Arabian. They are so Cute an Cool, i love their Energy an i think they are just so Unique too

I love the Friesian!

They're pretty, smart, friendly and are able to do a range of disciplines.

beautiful horses for sure, they are an old breed the romans used them for their chariots, dont think they do well in hot humid weather though, dont see any this far south..what do you think about the cob type Gypsy Vanner's ?

Yes, Friesians don't do well in the heat! Some are even unable to sweat! During the summer I put mine out at night to avoid the sun and heat.

I adore Irish Cobs/Gypsy Vanners! Wouldn't mind one in my herd!

the feathering I get it! part of my maintenance routine with my horses is to make sure I regularly clip the fetlock area, ears, around their eyes, muzzle. I have Paints with lots of white area on them, tough to stay ahead of the grass stains, yellow stains and such, i got away from using shampooing that had blueing in it, I found a great shampoo that works wonders on my paints, Pintos, and solid color horses...been using it for years, will repel dust and most stains before they "set in" its called Manely Long Hair Shampoo, Conditioner, and Detangler I believe they are out of Aiken, SC.

I adore the Swedish Native working breeds. They are smallish for a heavy horse and nimble enough to work in dense and sensitive forest areas. They have no excessive feathering and are healthy, sturdy, energetic and have amazing temperament! Suitable for most hobby sports in riding as well. I used to start mine in trail and pleasure western classes (did reining just because the audience loved watching them! ), but also did dressage and just jumping for fun. Mostly we worked in forestry though.

My last few horses were a modern line of the same breed, now separated and called cold blood trotters.
Absolutely amazing allround animals!
