You DO realize, of course, that you just sent dozens of people down a Google Rabbit Hole, looking for pics & definitions, right?
I "grew up Italian," so I don't have a true favorite. The best pasta was the one that best held your gravy (sauce.) As a kid, my favorites were capellini (because the thread-like noodles were fun to play with) and "sock tops," more commonly known as rigatoni. If had to choose, today, my fav would have to be whatever someone else wanted to cook and clean up for me!
