What's Your Favorite Vacuum Cleaner?

My Kirby is great! I used to go through at least 1 vacuum a year, I've had my Kirby for several years now and it still works as good as when I first got it. There are a little pricey in the beginning but every part on them can be replaced. They are no disposable like the ones at Wal-mart.

Thanks, I'll check that link out. Oh, and it's not a matter of being "willing" to spend more, I'm just poor, so I really need to get something relatively inexpensive. Guess I'm just trying to find the best of the low-end!

Thanks Nifty! I like that you reposted after 6 months with a follow up. I've really heard good things about Hoover over the years, and that's a perfectly reasonable price too. I was a little surprised to see some people talking about dust flying everywhere when they empty bagless canisters. I suppose if you dump it from 2 feet above the trash can that might happen, but I've had bagless vacuums before and never had an issue dumping them. My only complaints were not enough suction or the belts would constantly slip. Good to know this one has worked out well and thanks for posting that update!

I actually have one of those, an antique, hanging on my wall as a decoration. Don't think it would work too well on the wall to wall carpeted rooms however.

For the time being, because the Bissell really doesn't do a good job here, I have my mom's spare Kenmore canister vac, and I really like that one. I have no idea on the price though. I like it because you can get UNDER stuff.

I have Bissell upright that is bagless. I love/hate it.

Love that it has great suction, hate that the filter clogs so quickly and it spews dust on every surface.
I love the attachments, hate that the static buildup in the hose shocks the crap outta me every time i use it.

I am saving my money now to spend on a really good one when the time comes again.
