What's YOUR garbage cost?

We pay $36 quarterly for weekly removal of unlimited trash, yard waste, appliances, everything exept recycle. For some reason they stopped curbside pick up and now we have to take it to the recycle center.

We are allowed 2 bags a week at our house in Ontario Canada. The cost is covered by our property taxes, not sure how much of the taxes are cut out for garbage pick up but our taxes are about 2400 a year here. At our house in newfoundland Canada garbage pick up is 50.00 a year or you can take care of taking your garbage to the dump yourself for no cost at all. The property taxes there are zero!

We pay $44 every two months for 32 gal can owned by the collecting company. They also throw in a 64 gal recycle bin. A yard waste bin is extra and yard waste is not allowed in garbage. We compost the yard waste.

The cost of garbage collection is mostly for fuel and wages. Having a smaller can doesn't save much. We used to have a smaller can but it kept getting damaged so we paid another $2 or so for the bigger can owned by the company.

trash collection is part of our property taxes...our town recycles...We have 2 recycle buckets and one large bin on wheels for garbage...we can take anything to large to go into the trash bin straight to the dump...at no cost...We have a waste-management site in the outskirts of town and they sell the methain...

In Vermont, each town sets their own rate; for us, it's now "up to" $1.75 per bag if we bring it to the dump transfer station. We recycle & compost or feed to chickens, so generally our family has 1 bag per week...not bad, after I see some of the scary prices out there.

Burning trash is now illegal here.

Mine is warpped up in my utilities fee, which is about $111/month. That covers water, electricity, sewer, recycling, yard waste, & the smallest garbage bin the city has. We rarely fill our garbage bin but recycling is generally full.

We've got 2 yard waste bins and I can fill both easily. Seriously, on a city lot that's just 0.1 acre, how the heck do I manage to do that?!?

Pick up for yard waste and recycling alternate weekly.

My natural ga bill runs $30 in thesummer to $100+ in the winter. We will be turning down the heat this winter unless DBF gets a job.

My daughter's water/sewer/garbage bill in town runs on the average $140/month. I live in the country with a well and septic tank and just the garbage is $55/quarterly. We don't have a limit on cans or bags, but we usually have one 39 gallon bag/week. It's just the 2 of us and we recycle everything we can.

Somewhere around $25 a month, but if you have any large items to have hauled off, they charge more.(Thats on an individual basis and you have to call.)
