I was in the create cooking mood. I made spicy cranberry orange sauce. I took some and added chipotle pepper to it and my husband used it for basting spare ribs. That was good. I also made pickled jalapeños, red onions and radishes. The latter is the first time. I hope they are good.

This is a hard one for me. I like making stuff….cooking to beading to sewing to crocheting and yes I have supplies for all of these, but not enough time. None are part of my career though. I wonder if I would like them if they were. I do not take pictures of things I make though. Here is two samples of two of my hobbies.

I found this bracelet I made awhile ago. Most things I make I give away. Qwerky pieces I keep for myself like this.

The name of this pattern is Old Maid's Puzzle.
It is all single crochet and made in squares and attached to each other.
The pattern colors are not embroidered they are all color change and other yarn is carried behind the work.
I love to crochet Afghans, tapestry or throw it doesn't matter. I crochet while I'm watching TV. I crochet when we are camping. I crochet at the VA clinics while I'm waiting for my husband.

The name of the pattern is From My Garden
This afgahn was done last year, it took over 4 months to do it.
I broke my right hip 9/11/2023 in a farm accident. I did this afgahn while I was recovering. The pattern called for the colors to be embroidered in. I hate to embroider so I color changed all the yarn, sometimes carring 3 or 4 colors working them into the back of the pattern.
I usually give the afgahns away but only to "yarn worthy" people. After working on an afgahn for 4 or 5 months it becomes a part of you. It hurts when you find out your afgahn is being used in a dog kennel. (It actually happened)

This was a very easy afghan to make. It looks, difficult because of the color changes. It is worked from the long ends and is never turned. Each row is strated new with front facing you. Each row will start and end with a 6" or 8" yarn tail on each end. The yarn tails will act as braided fringe when finished....
I consider myself as an "intermediate" because I am forever learning new ways to crochet.....

This is a "Tapestry" type afghan. For a while I thought it would drive me to drink! When I get upset with an afghan I toss it behind my recliner and start another. After a while I'll go back to the rejected afghan and try to find what is going wrong....
This afgahn was made for my third daughter, Tammy. After college she did 20 years in the US Coast Guard. After retiring as an officer she decided to become a Paramedic....
The afghan was to have been a Christmas Present, but she was beaten severely by someone who she was trying to save and ended up with a broken jaw. So, the afgahn ended up as a "get well" gift....
In order to take a full photo of the afghan I used a step ladder. I placed the afghan on the carpet and photoelectric it from above....

So… I didn’t read the rules till now (sorry about that😅) should I redo my posts with one hobby per entry or just leave it the way it is?
If you want more than one entry, edit your first post to have just one hobby, then post three more times. One hobby per post.
