What's your least favorite breed?

My aunt had a pair of white polish when I was about 10(ish)... I could never decide which was funnier to sneak up on, them or the fainting goats she had...

I haven't met many chickens yet(have about 9 breeds)--started with the dual purpose because I wanted calm birds. But got a "special" that was a silver spangled Hamburg! He's a character and I love him more than I thought I would. He can never be caught--he stays 15 feet or more away, and he's nervous and jittery. Nothing will sneak up on him. My point is my least favorite were the "flighty" birds, but now I like all the LF.

I am not a fan of Barred Rock, I think the barred pattern in general is kind of unattractive. I am also not a fan of Faverolles (spelling?), the weird coloration thing gets me.

I actually really enjoy my CornishX when I have them. They only get gross for me when they aren't moved often enough, mine were fairly pretty birds once they got their feathers, which not all did before the Big Day. They're pretty docile critters, they're delicious, and they're cost effective to raise. I've never had leg injuries, and I process them immeidately if I start to see one looking not-quite-right. So far my several batches lived their 6-8 weeks in clean, spacious surroundings getting treats and attention like the rest of my birds. Nothing horrible or overly freakish occurred, and they were pretty content.

I'd like to raise chickens and eat them. Hubby is against it. I guess he doesn't want to get stuck with all the work processing them. Do you hatch eggs from your Cornish also? We are also afraid of getting to attached to them as pets. I do

i think silkies are ugly and dumb... but i understand why people love them... they're like the chihuahuas of the chicken world...

We have some turkens and I have one hen that is black and we call her condor. I didn't think I liked them until I received 5 in a brown egg assortment collection. It turns out they are one of the sweetest birds I ever encountered, they lay a good sized brown egg almost daily and they are very talkative and inquisitive. I love them.
Now the ones I don't like are polish chickens, particularly roos. I have had three thru the years that all turned into creatures from hell that all wound up swimming with the proverbial fishes at my farm pond. My crappy and blue gill told me that they really thought they were delicious.
I also must all all the polish roos that I had that were mean were from murrray mcmurray. They must have a mean strain or something like that.

I personally like the more ornamental breeds but my FAVORITE has to be Ameraucanas and my LEAST FAVORTIE is a few but I a cannot stand the Asils and Shamo. They are just not my cup of tea. I also really don't like the dual purpose kind of breeds but there are a few I like. I'm also not a huge fan of OEGB because I was walking through the game aisle at show and like 5 roosters tried to spur me through their cage
