I was thinking more along the lines of Blue, I think that would be a good start.

My project last year was to create a line of Crested Blue, Black, Chocolate & Splash/White Indian Runners. Success! But nobody was buying them, so I sold off all my breeders. I still have some ducklings left to sell. They are very pretty. It was a fun project. I also bred my White Crested Pekin drake (huge crest) to my Crested Blue Swedish for 3 weeks, and got some AMAZING crests! I mean HUGE! Like this one here, who only lived for 1/2 hour. It was too big, his brain was in it.

If I could start a project- it would be to create a standard size silkie... or do they make those already? What about frizzles in a standard size? Or a frizzle-silkie?!?

Frizzles come in standard Cochin size, they're just not as common as the bantams. I have 2 frizzled Silkies, so they're around too, but just not common (as soon as they start laying I'll be selling eggs if you're interested

). Standard Silkies are available in Europe, but not here, so that would be a fun task.

LOL, I'm working out of town right now, so I'll have to see if I can talk DH into snapping a pic of them for me. Their crests aren't as fluffy as I would like, but I'm hoping to work on that in the next generation. They're still a work in progress. They're 5 months old, so they should start laying any day now...
