I am a low-carber and so is the rest of the family (mainly because they are too lazy to cook for themselves :p )

My menu is baked turkey with sausage stuffing
    Twice Baked Cauliflower
    Pumpkin Cheesecake
A big green salad with olive oil and balsamic dressing, a cheese and olive platter, and veggies with dip.

Mine is fairly simple compared to the 'family' dinners I used to go to in Indiana!

    1 10-12 pound turkey
    stuffing (don't know how much)
    mashed potatoes with gravy
    broccoli/cauliflower medley
    brown-n-serve rolls
    pumpkin pie
    apple pie (maybe)
    peach cobbler (maybe?)

probably something my 4 year old will eat as well! Picky eaters, don't ya just LOVE them? [IMG]

we have dinner at grams, turkey, usually one bought one shot but we havent got the one shot yet. Sweet potatoes, fresh frozen corn, mashed potatoes, stuffing in the bird and in a bowl, pickled red beets. I ordered a Cherry pie and a pecan pie from a local farm market. I had a piece of their cherry pie a couple months ago...to die for. I cant wait.

    Pumpkin Pie w/ Vanilla Icecream

This year I will eat very little of the above.

    Trying to shed some pounds.

This is both of our family's biggest gettogethers.
Thursday - Jeff's extended family of 50+ will eat at the Western Steer, as his parents are approaching 90 and in an attended care home near there.

My family of about 30 will all be here on Saturday:

14lb fresh turkey - deep fried by my brother
20lb of barbecued beef ribs (freshly butchered )
    a shrimp ring
    twice baked potatoes
    corn pudding
    green beans
    nappa salad
    cucumber salad
    smoked trout dip and crackers
    assorted desserts that everyone brings

no nut products, as our grandson is extremely allergic.

as you can see, we don't skimp on the calories at this time of year!

We keep it pretty simple as most of us just want turkey, dressing, gravy, and cranberry sauce with more dressing for dessert!
Our menu was finally set yesterday:

    Cheese and Crackers
    Wine and Beer

Turkey - cooked on the grill by BIL, with a whole bottle of white wine
Dressing - Mom's famous, with sage
    Giblet Gravy
Fresh Cranberry Sauce - made each year by my sister
(canned cranberry sauce) - for the younger generation who don't know better
Fresh Green Beans with Caramelized Onions - I'll cook them in the pressure cooker
    Sweet Potato Casserole
Vegetarian Dish - for my niece
Rolls - I'm making the No Knead Rolls on The Pioneer Woman site
Sweet Tea - we are Southern after all

    Apple Pie
    Spanish Bar Cake
