Jeremy, Yes, I have a small flock of about 20 wheaten Marans of the Presley line. I am one of the breeders that doesn't have a problem crossing the lines to make them stronger. I believe in breeding what you have or can get. After I get what I am looking for I do line single and double mating with all my Marans. Don

Glad to see this thread Don, thanks for starting it! It's because of all the enablers here at BYC, that I will more than likely have some Wheatens come spring. They are just too darn pretty to pass up!!

So there will be BCMs, Blue Coppers, and then Wheatens...and THAT'S IT!

Walt, If you happen to see this thread would you if you have time kinda explain to everyone about how the wheaten will be judged if a fault is not accounted for in the proposed Standard. I am pretty sure anything not accounted for in standard will revert back to the Cutting for defects, for judging. Thanks for your time. Don

Don~ Great idea to start this thread. Wheaten info in one place is fantastic, no searching through endless pages to find a little conversation on them. The world needs more Wheatens......more Wheatens, I say!!!!!!!
