Just set a few Wheaten eggs and wondering how everyone else is doing with the wheaten. Been so cold here they just started laying. I hope my wheaten male fertility is good or I will be up the creek. Don

fertility can go at the wrong time just when you need it most , my big and old davis roo is in the batchlor pad for a wile because i think he is shooting blanks . first hatch of this year i got 5 out of 11 hatched , second one i got 1 out of 15 ,. and third hatch i got zero ... so i add 2 more nice hens to my flock and 4 roosters going to batchlor camp
to grow out . Out of curiosity id like to see how the feather out and compare . I have 6 or 8 eggs incubating from old roo and 4 eggs from my reserve rooster(best looking I have ) I hatched a year and a half ago ..i always hatch to many roosters and only want to keep 2 ....so don what kind of bator do u use and do u candle ?

We have just started as eggs have been slow to come.

Yesterday was the first day with any qty, got 6 and was happy to see it.

I have 6 or 8 in the sportsman that are a week into the cycle and fertility looks good. Set another 12-14 last night.

We will probably hatch out way to many before I start to sell eggs.
