It will be 50/50 Mahonri, the blue gene works the same way with Wheatens as it does with "regular" blues.

Wheaten X Wheaten = 100% Wheaten
BW X Wheaten = 50% BW, 50% Wheaten
BW X BW = 50% BW, 25% Wheaten, 25% Splash Wheaten
BW X SW = 50% BW, 50% SW
SW X SW = 100% SW
SW X Wheaten = 100% Blue Wheaten

I'm planning to go even if I don't have something good enough to show. It will be a great learning experience.

I would love to see pics of correct Wheaten Marans color. In the beginning I spent a lot of time trying to learn about the correct conformation and set color aside. Does anyone have pics of correct color they can share?

Thanks!

This is just too funny so I had to post . . . check out the link : http://frenchmaransclubaustralia.yolasite.com/notes-on-breeding.php

If
you go down toward the bottom of the page, where they are talking about Wheatons and comparing two hens that are standing on a log (one with too much mahogany in her), guess who's wheatons those are!!!?? Go ahead guess!!! That's right, Hilltopmarans! Better known on this thread as berkeleysprings hens! Our hens . . . posted on an Australian website! LOL.

I guess I should be annoyed that we aren't credited with being the owners of those two hens, but then again it's kind of cool showing up in Australia! And we didn't even have to get on an airplane!
