i have located a blue splash Wyandotte would that work for test breeding for yellow leg gene to my hens ?

Don't want to be mean and jump this great thread, but I briefly looked and didn't find ant info on sexing. Can these birds be sexed at birth?

great , a nice person will even deliver , the rental rooster for as long as i need and it will be a long time , most likely 5 months or so i have no idea what i will do with the offspring but im sure it will be the fastest way to weed things out as long as my sisted dosnt get attached tothe chicks

Keep us posted on the "cleaning house" project Randy. Who will you start with first? Ebay Davis hen or one of the 3 first year hens?

i will start with the hens from backwoods poultry because i think there clean and i can start hatching tto restock once the test hatch is complete so two weeks to clean the hens from roo , a week to collect eggs and 3 weeks to to incubate just for the first hen

Good choice on the splash. Blues will be easier to give away or sell, and you'll know right away if you got any wheatens left over from the roo.
