I have 9 babies. 5 of them are definitely cockerels. I have 3 pullets. We just are not sure about this little Am. baby. It hangs out with the other pullets, and does not participate in the sparing that the little baby roos do. But, it is really big, has a big head and really dark feathers. I have never had a wheaton am before, so I don't know what it is. I was waiting for it to get "drumsticky", but don't really know what I am looking for. It is 7 weeks old.
I am soooo hoping it is a pullet, but will keep it even if it is a roo.
Thanks for your help!!

ETA: The cockerels are very easy to spot in the wheaten variety. How about pics of the rest of the gang.

I have one that looks just like that! Is he a blue wheaten or just wheaten? My other one is just brown with a little black here and there...does that mean it's a pullet?

This is the only Ameraucana that I have. The breeder included it with my GC Marans hatching eggs.

I will post pics of my others. They are Golden Cuckoo Marans, so their color gives them away. One is a Salmon Faverolle. He is as ugly as all get out~!!

Here he is:

I don't have any really good pics of my roos, but will upload what I have
here are the GC Marans at just a couple days old. You can see the 2 pullets pretty plainly.

Mine is from Melissa at Paso Fino Farms. It is a wheaton am.
Is it the color that gives it away??
Boy is this guy calm if he is a cockerel. I would have gone with cockerel by the coloring because the wheatons that Melissa has are so light in color, but "he" is so calm and does not spar with the other little cockerels who are constantly bumping chests, flaring their hackles and having little stare downs. This one just hangs quietly with the little pullets.
