Wheezing Chick, what should I do?

Hi all,

A couple of days ago I noticed one of my RIR's was kind of wheezing. It doesn't happen constantly just after she eats something. She is only 8 weeks old and my healthiest looking/acting chick, but this wheezing has got me a little worried. Any advice?

Is your feeder close enough to your waterer? Birds sometimes need water to wash down their food if gravity isn't doing a good enough job.

The waterer is about 5 feet away from the feeder, but the feeder is inside the coop and the waterer is outside. Is that too far?

I would suggest putting the feeder and water closer together, though not to close or the water could get soiled.
