No. I want to breed for myself. To have a self sustaining flock. Since I’m pretty sure they have some CRD I don’t want to risk infecting someone else’s flock.

He’s losing weight now and will only eat corn and mealworms. Is this a side effect of the tylan or is he upset about having to take meds, or is it the CRD? I’m really worried. The vet is coming on Thursday but that’s two days away. I don’t want to fail him.

Is his crop emptying overnight?

I would offer him chick starter to eat. He's probably denying his normal feed to hold out for tastier treats.

He may have more going on. Hopefully the vet will be able to access him better and offer a solution.

His crop doesn’t even fill during the day. I watched him today and he only drank. He went over to the feeder and nibbled a bit. But didn’t really eat. By the end of the day, before locking up the coop, his crop wasn’t full. I’ve been trying to not feed so many treats, he gets corn every other day, but it’s all he eats now. I added the mealworms because they at least have protein.
I hope the vet can help too. I’m going to ask her if I should worm them all and do a precautionary corid treatment. I just can’t wait until I have an answer.

Antibiotics can kill healthy gut bacteria, which could cause weight loss. The weight loss can also be from him not overall feeling the greatest as well.

I planned on giving him this probiotic after the last dose of tylan, which is later today. I’m hoping that will help. Can I administer it in his water since he isn’t really eating? I can’t seem to find anything online about putting probiotics in water.

I think so. I’ve fed him yogurt before when he wasn’t feeling so ill. Can I add this to yogurt? I know the girls love yogurt.
