Wheezing Hen?

Iva, what's your weather like? Sometimes these symptoms are serious, sometimes easily overcome. Vitamins are good. Nutridrench is my go-to for a quick boost.
How old is she, and is she laying yet?

Would be a good idea to weigh her if you can, and monitor her weight. Try to weigh around the same time each day, or make a note if her crop is full or empty when weighed. And make sure her crop is empty and flat in the morning, before she eats anything.

Maybe try this symptom checker for possibilities.

I’m in central Texas, so most of the time it is hot and it has recently been in the 50s-80s. It is not normally very windy or rainy and there is mostly sunshine. I’m not sure of her age because we bought her as an adult, and she was already laying eggs before I got her. She just started to drink and even pecked a bit at some food.

I found this online. I hope it helps.
Here is a simple Homemade Electrolyte Recipe that is easy to mix up in a pinch: 1 cup water. 2 teaspoons sugar. 1/8 teaspoon salt. 1/8 teaspoon baking soda. Use full strength on severely ailing chickens, otherwise mix into their drinking water as needed, a cup per gallon of water.

Hopefully it's just this crazy weather we've all been having. Maybe she wanted some extra TLC.

Keep us posted! :fl
Thought she was doing better, but I just checked on her and I just saw red in one of her poos

Has she been dewormed?
What does she eat including extras?
I don’t think she’s been dewormed. She eats pelleted food and I give them fruits, veggies, mealworms, and oyster shells every now and then. I also let them out of their run every couple of days. Recently, I put in watermelon, an orange, and lettuce. Are you thinking it could be cropworm or gapeworm or something of the sort?

Worms are very possible especially with blood in the poo. Get a q-tip and inspect some close. With the wheezing it’s it could be worms in the windpipe or she has a virus.
