Please help! My chick is wheezing panting and tail moves when breathing. The chick looked liked it was going to die but when brought in the house he looked slightly better but is still sick. It is also very hot today, is she over heated? Please help!:(

what about giving them some "chick saver"  It's an electrolyte solution.  If you can't find that, run a search on home made electrolyte solution.  With a sick chick, it comes down to the point where you've got nothing to loose by trying something.

! Great to have you with us but sorry to hear about your sick chick. I think isolating it from the others is a good idea - just in case it isn't reacting to the heat. If the condition persists or worsens you might consider posting in the link below. Monitor and keep us posted - best of luck !

Thanks! We have kept them on electrolytes since we got them. We tried Corid because we thought she had coccidiosis. She is a mella fleur. We found blood in her poop yesterday but did not see any today. Thanks a bunch!

I wonder if she can't tolerate the heat, That would cause her to pant a lot and maybe even wheeze . She seemed better inside because it was probably cooler. Do you have air conditioning or a room with a fan in it? Or even a cool basement. I'm thinking if it is the heat - being cooler would reverse her symptoms. Will she eat some watermelon for you. Chickens really like that in hot weather.

She looks like she has a cold. She is recovering quickly. Thank you all for the help.:)
