In the Brooder
Runner are naturally skid dish any way and if the aren’t use to the dog that is a predator to them. Especially if they haven’t been out together before. Herding isn’t that hard to do once they get use to what your wanting of them. Was your dog doing anything to make them scared like trying to smell them? Ducks don’t naturally come home to roost like chickens so teaching them is the idea.
Hi, They have been outside with the dog, cats and chicken since they were 2 weeks old. Obviously separated by chicken wire , but they have been exposed to all my other critters. I do have a large GP who is 2 years old and still gets a kick out of chasing after everyone else. My chickens and cats learned to deal with him and he does not harm anyone just curious, especially when the ducklings are running away from him.
He just wants to sniff them

I will just give them a few days off then get back to try to free range them and figure out how to train them so they get back to their pan later.
Thank you for the advice!
