When are eggs safe to incubate/stops being a 'pullet/new' egg?

Plus how are we supposed to get the breeds we want? There are some im lookong to het that I have to get by egg and incubate myself because I can't but grown birds to be shipped here
I got mine by having eggs shipped to me. I did artificially incubate them, but in future I will let a broody have what's shipped to me.

Also unless they end up being sat on, I tend to wait until 3 months after laying to start collecting for hatching
Chickens don't wait 3 months before sitting. In ideal conditions they sit as soon as they have a clutch that looks right.

This OEG Bantam is 125 days old and sitting on a clutch of 13 eggs.

Never said chickens waited that long. If pullet eggs end up in a legit brood nest, I leave them. But if a pullet hadn't been laying for at least 3 months, I will not purposefully start her eggs myself or put them in someone else's clutch

Hey all. Kind of a strange question, but I thought I'd ask anyway.

Raspberry (Pekin duck) has been laying for almost 2 months now. I'd like to incubate some of her eggs, but I'm curious when the eggs stop being 'new' or 'pullet' (not sure of the term for newly laying ducks) eggs.

Is it safe to incubate her latest eggs? Should I wait a while longer? Thanks in advance all! ❤️🥚
Not sure if it's the same with duck eggs as it is chickens but I don't hatch from pullet eggs at all, less then a year old chicken, I have had many problems with pullet eggs so now I only use hens for healthier chicks and less complications. .. I'm sure others hatch from pullet eggs and have no problems though personally I'd wait a little longer then 2 months to incubate her eggs so her internal egg making factory can smooth out any problems if you know what I mean?

I think my 125 day old broody know better than either you or I.
