When are eggs safe to incubate/stops being a 'pullet/new' egg?

Broodies are helpless, they need special care and attention.
Tell that to mine. Half of my broodies disappear and then come back with chicks. If they were helpless, I'm sure none of them would come back considering the predators I have on my property

Ive hatched pullet eggs and every one hatched I dont know why people say not to.
Main reasons are smaller eggs can lead to problems, and usually new layers are still working out glitches more often than seasoned layers

Maybe. But I've seen plenty of even seasoned broodies, nevermind newbies just up and abandon perfectly viable eggs.

But what about chicks that hatch from pullet eggs?
Then the broodies were not managed properly.

What about chicks that hatch from pullet eggs?
