When are they ready???

If they pip and zip does that mean they are ready to hatch??? Is it possible for them to pip and zip and still not be ready to hatch? Do they sometimes take a little longer even if they have accomplished those two things? It may seem like a silly question, but I was wondering if they sometimes just stay nestled in that egg because they haven't absorbed everything???

yeah, sometimes they are in no rush, as long as they are breathing well you can leave them. I have had some lazy ones lay about for an hour or so before they shake the shell off.
