The National Weather Service in Bismarck has issued a Winter
Storm Warning for snow and blowing snow... which is in effect from
10 PM this evening to 10 PM CDT Saturday. The Winter Storm Watch
is no longer in effect.
* Rain will begin mixing with snow in northwest and north central
North Dakota this evening... with precipitation becoming all snow
by midnight tonight.
* Travel will be hazardous due to snow covered roads and blowing
snow significantly reducing visibilities.
* 5 to 7 inches of snow is possible by Saturday evening.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A Winter Storm Warning for snow and blowing snow means that
visibilities will be limited due to a combination of falling and
blowing snow. Use caution when traveling... especially in open
areas.
