when can i dust my chicks

my chicks are 4 weeks now and just wondering when it would be safe for them to take a dust bath

I have a dogfood bowl full of sand in with my little Serama chicks and they are about the same age. They love it.

i think it means putting down some sand for them to dust bathe in - chicks and chickens everywhere love it!!
