When can I start feeding mealworms(dried) to chicks?

I've been giving mine live mealworms since 2 days old. Nuthatched is repeating a modern myth. See https://academic.oup.com/jee/article/95/1/214/2217557?login=true (amongst other things)
I do the same as you when I'm able to get them. I never had any chick problems giving them mealworms and in a lot of ways they grow up not being scared of me. Which makes it easier to handle them when I need to give them a check up as they grow up.

Did you know it is really easy (and practically cost-free) to raise your own mealworms?

Do tell..!
I give them about twice a day. Maybe 1/4 cup split between four chicks.

I would cut back but...
My daughter loves feeding them and I love making her happy :)
