when can I use grit?

    I just finished my chicken starter and my chick is 6 weeks old and healthy... I think. anyways is it okay to start using grit?

    I believe it is fine to begin offering grit at approximately one week of age, according to the instructions on
    the bag of poultry grit. [​IMG]

    You can use it from day one as long as it's the appropriate size...

    If they free range or are kept in a run then they should get all the grit they need from the ground when they are foraging. No harm in giving additional grit if you feel concerned though.
