I live in central Ohio and I am wanting to kick our 20 cornish x's out of the garage. They will be 5 weeks tomorrow and they are getting butchered in a little over 2 weeks. They just stink up the whole garage. My chicken tractor is almost finished and it has plenty of space for them, but the only protection from the elements will be a tarp (besides the metal hardware wire of course). Can I boot them out? Here's a link to what the weather is like around here....

Thanks so much!

Dude, late April doesn't get any more temperate.

Well, temperate isn't exactly it. We hit 89 here in Western PA today.

That's just messed up.

Kick their fuzzy butts out into the tractor.

Make sure they are protected from the sun.

You could have put them out a couple of weeks ago- I live in Michigan, and I put mine out at 2 1/2 weeks, with a heat lamp. I also throw a tarp over the coop on really cold nights. At three weeks, meat birds can handle nearly freezing conditions. Get those stinkers outside!!

Mine have been out since they were 3 weeks old. They'll be 6 weeks on Tuesday and seem very happy to be outside.
