Our chicks will be 6 weeks old on Monday. I know that we have at least 4 roos now (maybe 1 more) and we will be getting rid of them on Craig's List or somewhere and that would leave us with 5-6 (depending on the last one) chicks, all hens. When would be a good time to hatch some more chicks and put with these?
The 6 week olds are not in the coop yet because it is not finished yet, but they are desperate to go outside. Should we wait a few months or start right away??
Not sure that we will before next year, but I was just trying to get an idea of when it would be better or worse?
