You can use the injectable Tylan as an oral medication, too- it's just manufactured more stringently so as to be injectable, but you can put it in their mouths just fine.

My little chick is doing VERY well! ... I did oxy tetracycline for 10 days (just finally go the tylan in) I did give her one dose 2 days ago and her "happiness" went way down hill. so It's back to tetracycline

.

No more runny nose and she's had clear eyes for 3 days. Her "sneezes" are down to a minimal and she just seems to weeze a little at night.

When is it safe to put her back in the flock? ... I think she's getting more and more depressed as she gets better and she isn't thriving with my company

... right now everyone is getting oxy tetracycline in their water (have been since I started the little silkie on it so almost 2 weeks now.

I was going to treat for 3 weeks (since that what seems to be the general concensus on their recovery).

I know she's always going to be a carrier anyway - so I'll have to treat the flock often anyway and take extra preventative measures!

Is it safe to let her go back with her girlfriends?
