When can the ducks go in the yard?

I see many responses, but I didn’t notice anyone just spitting it out.
Now is fine.
Momma would not be covering them all day. I’ve never seen a broody cover her young when a hawk is overhead. If she is cool with letting them out, so am I.

I am always amazed at the extraordinary eyesight my ducks have. I'm sure I look like a crazy person out in the yard . . When their eyes go to the sky I'm up and out there looking up too . many times the bird or plane or whatever it is is so far away I can't even believe they would've seen it. Sometimes I never even figure out what their looking at and I think they are just playing a joke on me

My husband I are the exact same way - we are absolutely amazed when they see something we didn't! And when they do see something that we can't see, we just say they're crazy LOL!

The yellow one is Oscar and the darker one is Smalls. Wherever Oscar walks, he immediately lays down. Not sure if hes just lazy or hes too heavy for his legs

Mine did it to! Just normal duckling ways!

They are still at the stage they need more of our protection they are still babies. Easily food for a hawk or an owl and sometimes they are out in the day. They are so precious your avatar

Looking good but if your seeing any signs of trouble walking, weakness in the legs you might want to start them on it sooner. They need the extra niacin that the duck starter grower will have.
