I've been doing like Wildsky said, and letting mine free-range together. My big girls are a year old, and the 8 week old Orps are almost as big as the silkies. The babes are intimidated, and there has been some pecking. But they are doing so much better that I'm getting ready to see what happens when everyone goes to the big kid pen tonight...
