Today is a very warm day and my hubby wants to take our two day old chicks outside. I say it's too early. They are all healthy and active.

What do you all think?

2-4 weeks for me as their little bodies need some protection still. they can get sick pretty easily. I lost one who was indoors, with lots of tlc...

I brood all my chicks in my uninsulated chicken house. By two weeks old (spring, summer, fall) I turn the heat lamp off. By six weeks they're let out with the rest of the chickens to fend for themselves. Never had any problems

1 week old and mine spent the entire day out, in fact I went out just as it was getting dark and Emmy the hen (their mom) hadn't even bothered to go back to the coop, she was sitting there all puffed up, and under her,..7 chicks. We had to herd them in and plop them all into the brooder. Guess who's idea,..oh yeah that would be the husband,..if it was me they would be in the brooder until they were old enough to order a beer
