When did your Amerucana/Easter Eggers start to fly or long-hop?

We have a mixed bunch in the brooder right now, Buffs, Silkies, and EE's from Ideal. We've got mostly everyone getting along, but some of the EE's are making remarkably credible attempts to jump to the top of the feeder/waterer reservoirs. They stand next to it, little heads angled side to side, then leap at it, wings flapping. My hubby swears he's going to come home one day and find a bunch of little hawk-like chickens roosting on his motorcycle gear. That may not go well!

So, how old were your EE's when they started flying out of or to the edges of their approved territory?

At 2-3 weeks old, mine could fly up and perch on the edge of the box they were in. The box was 14-18 inches tall.

Mine are just seven days since arrival, so nine since hatch. I think we're in trouble with the little flyers!
