I have two pair of Ancona and am new to ducks. I've had chickens for a while and know the indications as to when they are close to laying.

Sorry, operator error. I wasn't finished with post and computer won't let me edit.

What are the indications that ducks are at POL, and what age should Ancona start? These were hatched in late summer/early fall. Thanks.

Usually Ducks (regardless of breed) lay between 5-7 months of age. I know this is big range, but it kind of depends on the weather and when they were hatched etc. I would expect them to start laying this spring/early summer.

I am in the same boat. Got my silver apple yards in Apri last year and no eggs yet.
